Description
Ruffle Hem Shorts
The Ruffled Comfy Shorts are a soft, generous pull-on short with nothing to fasten and nothing to fit.
A deep band at the waist is gathered with rows of elastic, so it stretches to pull on and settles back to hold them in place, leaving the leg free to be cut full. That fullness ends in a gathered ruffle at the hem, adding a little weight and a great deal of movement.
Reach for something soft with a crinkled texture, a cotton gauze, a light crepe or a fine viscose. The elastic sits softly against you and the ruffle flutters as you move.

How to print it
Open the file in Adobe Reader
Use the A4 or US Letter file. Adobe Reader is free, and it is the only reader that handles the size layers correctly.
Switch off the sizes you don't need
Open the layers panel on the left and leave only your size visible. You will use far less paper and ink, and the pieces are easier to cut.
Set scaling to 100%
Choose Actual Size, and make sure Fit to Page or Shrink to Fit is switched off. This is what keeps the pattern true to size.
Print page one and measure the test square
If the square measures correctly, your settings are right. If not, check the scaling and print page one again before going further.
Print the remaining pages and assemble
Line up the registration marks, tape the sheets together, and follow the assembly diagram that came with your files.
Prefer a copy shop? Use the A0 file
Hand over the A0 file and ask for 100% scale with no tiling. One sheet, no taping, nothing to assemble.
