Description
Teddy Bomber Jacket
The Amber Jacket is a soft teddy bomber with a quilted placket, rib at every opening and pockets cut into the front.
The pocket opening is marked by hand, stitched round and then cut between the lines, with the lining laid on and the ends sewn to the front, so a pile this deep still gets a flat opening. A quilted placket carries the zip, and ribbed cuffs, a ribbed waistband and a ribbed collar close the jacket.
Teddy fabric, fleece, polar fleece, faux fur and sherpa all sew up well here, with rib for the cuffs, waistband and collar.

How to print it
Open the file in Adobe Reader
Use the A4 or US Letter file. Adobe Reader is free, and it is the only reader that handles the size layers correctly.
Switch off the sizes you don't need
Open the layers panel on the left and leave only your size visible. You will use far less paper and ink, and the pieces are easier to cut.
Set scaling to 100%
Choose Actual Size, and make sure Fit to Page or Shrink to Fit is switched off. This is what keeps the pattern true to size.
Print page one and measure the test square
If the square measures correctly, your settings are right. If not, check the scaling and print page one again before going further.
Print the remaining pages and assemble
Line up the registration marks, tape the sheets together, and follow the assembly diagram that came with your files.
Prefer a copy shop? Use the A0 file
Hand over the A0 file and ask for 100% scale with no tiling. One sheet, no taping, nothing to assemble.
