Description
Drawstring Waist Coat
The Drawstring Coat is a light coat that shapes itself with a cord rather than a belt or a button.
The front edges are cut wide and faced so they roll back and fall open in soft folds, framing whatever you wear beneath. A drawstring runs through a casing at the waist and ties at each side, so you can draw the coat in or let it hang straight, and the sleeves are set into the armhole and run long.
Polyester is what this is drafted for, light enough to gather softly at the waist.

How to print it
Open the file in Adobe Reader
Use the A4 or US Letter file. Adobe Reader is free, and it is the only reader that handles the size layers correctly.
Switch off the sizes you don't need
Open the layers panel on the left and leave only your size visible. You will use far less paper and ink, and the pieces are easier to cut.
Set scaling to 100%
Choose Actual Size, and make sure Fit to Page or Shrink to Fit is switched off. This is what keeps the pattern true to size.
Print page one and measure the test square
If the square measures correctly, your settings are right. If not, check the scaling and print page one again before going further.
Print the remaining pages and assemble
Line up the registration marks, tape the sheets together, and follow the assembly diagram that came with your files.
Prefer a copy shop? Use the A0 file
Hand over the A0 file and ask for 100% scale with no tiling. One sheet, no taping, nothing to assemble.
What you are buying
